Resolveの使い方について、前回(「まったくゼロから始める。Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Liteの簡単な使い方。(1)」)、Editのところまでいったものの、曇天・雨天続きでサンプルに使えるようなものがなく頓挫しておりました。
今回はログファイルのコントラストを調整し、LUTを適用するところまでです。自分自身独学でやっておりますが、まずスタートポイントがあるとずいぶん違うかなと思いますので情報の共有です。
それはちがうね、というような点がございましたら、よろしくご指導くださいますようお願い申し上げます。

COLORページの概要
上段左にScopesがありますが、これはキャプチャ用にここに置いただけで移動可能。Scopeの背後には本来、カラコレ結果をスナップショット的に保存できるGalleryがあります。上段真ん中はモニター。上段右側はNodesでPhotoshopやイラレにおけるレイヤー的なものです。僕のような素人は現在Serial Nodeしか使えません。
中段はタイムラインを表示。
下段左は現在Color Wheelsが表示されていますが、下段の一番上にあるアイコンの並びの中の目玉のようなアイコンでColor Wheelが表示されます。下段中はさらに細かい処理を行うためのツール群、下段右はKeyframesですが、使い方未学習。
MEDIA、EDITへは最下段のボタンでいつでも行き来できます。
Color Wheelsについて
今回、色調整には主としてこちらのColor Wheelsを使用します。
Color WheelsではLift=シャドウ部、Gamma=中間部、Gain=ハイライト部、Offset=全体のシフト。
それぞれが輪っかの中の真ん中のポチ(=ポインター)、下の左右に回転するダイヤル(=マスターホイール)の2つのコントローラを持ちます。それぞれの右上についている逆回りの矢印のボタンで個別に初期化可能。また、Color Wheelsのグループの右上の点3つのボタンから4つまとめて初期化も可能。
また4種すべてに影響するものとして株にContrast、Pivot、Saturation、Hue、Lum Mixがあります。ここではとりあえず使うのはSaturationだけです。
スコープについて
色を調整するには「なんとなく」ではなく各種スコープを見ながら「客観的に」進めていくことが可能です。WaveformとParadeはX軸が画面のX軸に対応します。Y軸は輝度。Histogramは静止画編集でもおなじみのものです。今回、各色10bitのデータを開いているのでWaveformとParadeで0〜1024つまり10bit分(2^10)の階調が表示されていますが、PCの画面で再現できるのは実際には0〜256の8bit分(2^8)なので上下への引っ張り耐性が強いです。
Paradeを1つに重ねたものがWaveformです。ParadeでR、G、Bの3色の比率が同じ高さのところがWaveformでは真っ白になっています。また最低値である0がほんとの真っ黒、1023(0始まりなので1024番目)がほんとの真っ白です。放送用のデータを作る場合、上下一杯は無理なようなので余白を取らねばならないようですが、素人が趣味で動画サイトにアップする場合には関係ないように思います。
なお、スコープ類はCommand Shift + Wでオン・オフができますので必要に応じて非表示すればOK。また、画面の広さも十分ではないので必要な1種類だけの表示にしておけばスペース確保できます。スコープウィンドウの右上の1、2、4で変更できます。また、四隅ドラッグで大きさ調整可能です。
ブラックポイント(シャドウ部)を調整
まず、Liftコントローラーのマスターホイール(左右に回るギザギザのところ)でシャドウ部をゼロにもっていきますが、ポインター(まんなかのポチ)を操作してRGB各色のバランスを整えつつ、マスターホイールで下げつつ、ポインターで整えつつ、になります。やや無限地獄的といいましょうか、すべてが相対的にかわっていくので、あっちをかえれば今度はこっちがかわってしまい・・・の繰り返しです。ポインターも慣れるまではどっちに動かせばどうなるかが皆目わからずもだえます。
一番最初のものとくらべると黒が引き締まったのがお分かりになるかと思います。
ホワイトポイント(ハイライト部)を調整
同様に、Gainコントローラで今度は白点を決定します。今回左端のハイライト部分は曇り空ではなく、空の色があるようなのですがRGB均等にしてしまいました。ほんとうは頑張って青空を引っ張り出すところなのでしょうか。。。少なくともこれで0〜1023までフルに配置できていることになります。
ガンマ(中間調)調整
次に中間調を調整します。Gammaコントローラです。真ん中の点線部分がちょうど出力的には中間なのですが、ここを目安に中間調を引き上げます。今回はホイールによる調整のみでポインターによるバランス調整は行いませんでした。スコープではブルーのレベルが低いのですが、背景がグリーンに支配されているので仕方ないのかなと適当に判断。
そうすると今度はブラックポイントが浮いてしまってきています。改めて下げました。
LUTを当てる
この状態で、Saturationを上げていけば色がついていくのですが、LUT(Look Up Table)を当ててみます。LUTは数字と数字の対応表ですが、この場合のLUTは「この色はこの色に、この色はこの色に」という対応表です。
市販のものから無料のものまで色々あるのですが、わたしが手軽に使っているのはM31 LUTという商品です。M31 LUTは単品販売されていて17ドルで購入できます。青みがかったシネルックが簡単に手に入りますよ。今回、青空が入っていないので雰囲気があまり出ないのですが(M31 Cinema LUT | VisionColor)。
さて、LUTを適用するためにはNodeという画像処理ソフトでいうレイヤーのようなものを追加し、それにLUTを適用します。Nodeを分けることによって効果を個別にオン・オフできるので確認が便利です。
NodesメニューからAdd Serial Nodeを選ぶと画面右上のNodeウィンドウ内にNodeが追加されます。追加されたNodeを右クリックして「3D LUT」の中から、VisionColorのOSIRIS M31 LUTを選択。
とりあえず上記のコントラスト調整後にM31 LUTを当てただけのがこちら。ずいぶんいきいきとしてきますね。
M31 LUTはOSIRIS Cinematic Film Emulations
というパッケージ商品(69ドル)の単品販売です。M31だけで17ドルでセットだと69ドルというのがまた悩ましい価格設定です。
OSIRISに含まれている他のLUTでの結果も上げておきます。あまり違いがわかりづらい素材で申し訳ないです。PrismoというLUTはM31ほどブルーイッシュではなく、全体の抜けがよい感じ。
Vision4はこんな感じ。Kodak社のVision3というネガフィルムをイメージしているのだと思われます。
Curvesで夏っぽく
もう少しコントラストをきつめにして夏っぽい感じをつけてみます。下段真ん中にCurvesというのがありますが、これはフォトショップ等と同じものです。一番左のLuminanceのカーブをS字になるように調整しました。
ビフォーアフター
いまだに試行錯誤の途中で、今回は改めてBlacmagic DaVinci Resolve 10 Liteのマニュアルを読み直しました。Tutorialのところが非常にわかりやすく、またサンプルのファイルも付いているので旧版ですがインストールはしなくてもいいのでマニュアルだけでも読んでみるとよいかもしれません。11のマニュアルにはTutorialは見つけられませんでした。
そしてまた、改めて、以下の書籍を推奨しておきます。という自分自身、未だにセカンダリの頭くらいまでしか読めていませんが。次回はDeliveryからFCPXの往復まで行けるかな。
